Instead of dividing the symposium into a majority of passive attendants and a minority of active speakers, everyone was a contributing participant of the symposium.
For this purpose, the core of the symposium took place 'in the field': All participants walked through one of six different areas of Hannover's urban landscapes. The aim was to test new ideas for designing urban landscapes through clearly defined design experiments for Hannover's urban landscapes.
Walking individually or in small teams, applying and testing the different methodologies of creating knowledge in a designerly way.
